Conor O’Donovan speaking on the impact of rental increases on the Irish property market

Following the launch of the Annual Residential Property Review & Outlook Report 2015, SCSI Policy Director Conor O’Donovan speaks on TV3 News about the impact of rental increases on the property market.

Conor O’Donovan says “A multi-national company looking at Ireland may think that the rental increases make it more difficult for them to employ people here. We need to make sure that we have a competitive environment to continue to attract these companies and create new jobs.”

He goes on to say “Again it comes back to supply. We just need to be building more properties than we currently are and access to finance remains a key barrier at the moment.”
